What is Quincy Market?

Quincy Market is a historic marketplace complex in Downtown Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Located at Merchants Row next to Faneuil Hall, it consists of three buildings constructed in 1826 and designed by Alexander Parris. The central two-story building is flanked by the 4+1⁄2-story North and South Markets, each containing multiple storefront units. Since 1976, Quincy Market has been the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, a festival marketplace. The buildings are designated as a National Historic Landmark and as Boston Landmarks.
