What is Nine Partners Meeting House and Cemetery?

The Nine Partners Meeting House stands two stories tall under a gable roof. It sits in a rural setting at the edge of the Village of Millbrook. The meeting house was finished in 1780, and that date is recorded on the house. An earlier meeting house went up in 1745 on six acres deeded to the Meeting. That first house was made of logs and was replaced in 1751. The finished house was thought to hold about 1,000 people, and it was built mostly from local materials. The building still has its original stoves. In 1897 the property passed to the Nine Partners Burial Association. Students at the Nine Partners Boarding School included Lucretia Coffin Mott and Daniel Anthony.
